We have been in North Carolina since July 2005 and we haven't seen any more than an inch of snow. We finally got to experience winter weather in the South this weekend. On Friday, we received about 3/4 of an inch of ice followed by 5-6 inches of snow with another layer of ice on top. Yesterday, we grabbed our sled and headed to the neighbor's yard. Our yard is flat which wouldn't have been much fun! The pics and video are from our first sledding session and Mariella really enjoyed it! The second session wasn't as enjoyable because a layer of ice had formed on top of the snow. Going down felt like Clark Griswold on his saucer sled from Christmas Vacation! Ella and I went really fast and were headed right for the woods before Daddy tackled us. Ella didn't appreciate that much and we went back inside!
